Lopamudra Kher
Dr. Lopamudra Kher, the 2020 and 2021 WFA Scholarship Recipient in
conjunction with the Canine Health Foundation Clinician-Scientist Fellowship
Dr. Kher is a veterinarian from India currently studying in the USA. She
successfully completed two masters: Veterinary Parasitology (MVSc, India,
2014) and Veterinary Clinical Sciences, Dermatology (MSc, USA, 2019). She then
began pursuing a PhD in Veterinary Clinical Medicine (Dermatology and
Immunology major) at the University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida. During her
full time work at two separate private practices, she developed a keen interest
in field of veterinary dermatology and microbiology.
She is presently researching the causes of atopy in dogs, and will travel to the
University of Bern to help develop a 3-D reconstruction of canine epidermis, both
healthy and atopic so we can understand the same interaction.
The WFA looks forward to Dr. Kher’s progress in her studies, and we wish her well in
her future.
