Ankita Gupta

Ankita Gupta is a DVM/Ph.D. candidate at North Carolina State University, College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her Ph.D. in Neuroscience (chronic pain) in July 2023 and is currently enrolled in Year 3 of the DVM program. Her primary research interest is to improve the success of translational research for chronic pain. Ankita’s overarching goal is to become a clinician-scientist and small animal surgeon in academia, performing high-quality, impactful comparative pain research that contributes to novel therapies for osteoarthritis-associated pain in human and veterinary patients.

Ankita is grateful to receive the Westie Foundation of America Scholarship! This award is an investment in her future and allows her to pursue her goal of becoming a clinician-scientist.
